HISTORY
Ethics in Science and Environmental Politics (ESEP) serves as publication organ of the Eco-Ethics International Union (EEIU). It was founded by Prof. Otto Kinne, EEIU President, International Ecology Institute, Oldendorf/Luhe, Germany, and Prof. Gennady Polikarpov, EEIU Vice President, Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of South Seas, IBSS, National Academy of Sciences, Sevastopol, Ukraine.

AIM
ESEP provides a global stage for presenting, discussing and developing the new ethical constructs of eco-ethics and econ-ethics — their bearing on science and politics, and their significance for the future development of nature and humanity. Since Inter-Research web pages are contacted about 800,000 times per month, we can offer unusually high worldwide visibility.

SCOPE

  • Ecological ethics (eco-ethics), economical ethics (econ-ethics) and environmental politics. For details consult the EEIU Brochures.
  • Search for a new sustainable harmony between nature and humanity — ecologically acceptable, economically feasible and politically manageable
  • Misconduct in science, economy and politics: documentation and analysis, possibilities of corrections and their implementation
  • Monitoring and weighing interactions between environment and human activities
  • Promoting and teaching environmental awareness and human responsibilities
  • Educational activities in eco-ethics and econ-ethics; presentation and discussion of related philosophical concepts and perspectives; consequences for political decision making
